Our Story

Meet the CEO & Founder of SK “She Koni By Baba”

Babatunde Ryan Omokoku founded his luxury fashion and beauty brand, SK — She Koni By Baba, in October 2025. The brand is designed for women and girls and is proudly Made in Nigeria.

What (and Who) Inspired It

The brand was inspired by his Nigerian father, Dr. Bandele A. Omokoku.
“Shekoni” means “one who brings joy and happiness.”

Babatunde explains that when he breaks down the word “Shekoni,” it sounds like “She Koni” — meaning “she who wears it brings joy and happiness.”

He also shared that he was raised by his single mother, Carol Topaz Monique Garner, and has a younger half-sister — his mother’s only daughter — Amber Nicole Badamo. Babatunde enjoys helping them choose outfits for family events and special occasions, which further shaped his passion for fashion.

The Birth of the Brand

Babatunde later shared his vision with his Nigerian friend and brother figure, E2M — a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and creative entrepreneur.

Together, they created the “Tune E2M” EP, which stands for:
“Tune into Babatunde (‘Tunde’) and E2M.”

While filming the “Outside” music video from the Tune E2M EP, Babatunde noticed something was missing.

He told E2M:

“When we tried to shoot our ‘Outside’ video, we couldn’t find enough women — vixens and models.”

So he added:

“That’s when I came up with She Koni — a beauty and fashion brand for women and girls. That way, we would always have women — models and muses — not just for my music, but for our music. We would never struggle again.”

Babatunde also explained:

“The name ‘She Koni’ comes from my father’s chief title, Shekoni.”

E2M immediately saw the vision and replied:

“Once I have the money to invest in it, I will make it happen.”

And he did.
She Koni By Baba was born.
